  1. really really looking forward to this weekend! Hope the weather gods play nicely 🙂

are any bike mods allowed between events, eg. change of tyres & pedals for downhill?

  2. We had the first pre-ride of the course tonight (free when you book a weekend ticket) with a great bunch of folk.

Despite the “full on Northern weather” we had a lot of fun sessioning the berms on the XC course, the trials stuff at the skills area and the downhill track.

There are places still available, including next Tuesday night’s pre-ride. Booking is through the online shop at time of ticket purchase. If you’ve booked a place and didn’t choose ca pre-ride just get in touch with me, my email in in my profile.

  3. Cheers Ed, that was fun tonight despite the rain.
The new sections are really good, I’ll be returning soon for more practice.

  4. Oh, and just to add, the downhill will be timed by magic beam to 1/100th second by the fine folk at Mikrotime.

  5. Yeah, a good evening last night despite the rain. Thanks to Ed for the pointers. Not sure 12 minute laps are within my sights but anything gained from a bit of local coaching has to be a good thing.

  6. If you are planning on joining us at the campsite in the quarry bring a good thermarest or Alpkit equivelent as its quite rocky inplaces!

  7. Next ‘Stop Crashing’ skills day for anyone wanting tips on riding berms / rocks etc. is on Saturday 30th May. See the online shop.
