I’m a big fan of Conti Vert Pro’s but also use Panaracer Razers in summer – quite fancy trying Racing Ralphs in the summer.
PS never had a puncture using the Conti’s! Been running them for more than three years too.
Surely the inclusion of Verti Pros was clue enough that this isn’t a serious poll. = :7)
Swampthings. Stunning, you can snatch your front brake and they dont spit you out
seriously ? big betty’s for my rock infested playground with a super glooey guuey up front.
for trail centres, nobby nics roll well and dip in beautifully.
but the true tyre for STW is the Vertical Pro, innit……everyone knows that 😀
Bontrager big earl 2.5 wet.
Hmmm… WTB Nanoraptor on the back/Panaracer Razer on the front in the summer for me worked well last year…
surely, like the bikes themselves, there are far fewer turkeys out there nowadays? a poll for dangerous / scary tyres would be more interesting?
fire xc pro
Mountain king on the back, Nobby Nic on the front..
“I’ve never seen or heard of anybody who actually uses WTB tyres.”
Then WTB Exi Wolfs must be a well kept secret. .
im with Eth3er, big earl wet, a great lightweight all rounder.
Riding all my life and never used any of the above. All this hype of exactly what tyre for a certain type of trail is rediculous. The nature of any trail changes enormously from section to section so a tyre specialised for slightly loose pea sized gravel in the mid-afternoon is not going to stand you in good stead for the intermediately moist rippled upperside mid-coarse grainded well sorted sandy trail. Just stick on a general tyre like a XC Pro and get on with it!
2.35 High rollers are the perfect for any condition tyres, but 2.1s are great for racing. And Maxxis LUST always seals perfectly everytime – just a pity Maxxis HQ can’t put the right ones in the right box when sending them to this country.

Vert pro?
Only if you want punctures constantly.
Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1
Should I go tubeless?
Smoke and Dart for me too!
