I'm after a bike I can do some touring/cx/road with rack mounts and pref discs..
Is this a moon on a stick scenario ....
I would like to do a jogle but not be restricted to all road .....when I want I'd like to take in some off road routes as well

So what's out there that doesn't weigh a tonne

Salsa Fargo?
(or Vaya if the road is more important - Saw a nice Vaya Tim @ Sideways Cycles had built a bit back)

My pompetamine with a gear hub is my do it all bike.

BB7 brakes, SB8 CX tyres. I use it on the road, with the child seat, on the hills, away on holidays etc. Very comfortable on it.

Should be tons of choice now. It's the niche that went mainstream. Spesh Tricross Disc, Kinesis Tripster, Kaffenback, Shand Stoater, Trek CrossRip, Thorn, Whyte, Cotic?

Edit: dunno where the photo went, try again. Since you mentioned a Fargo, here's a Mk1 in XL

Second Edit: It does weigh a fair bit, as will most built for loading up.

Specialized Secteur Disc if your off-road bits are more gravel cycle tracks than bridleways.
