Why has it got so many of everything?

At first I thought it was electric, then I saw the other side - the chain routing is somewhat extravagant...

Wow.

Why does it have the remains of some Acera front Rapidfire embedded in the drivetrain area?

Are there 2rear brake calipers?

Paired rear brakes on one rotor - that's going to get toasty. What on earth is the drivetrain, too?

I think you'd need an engineer & a psychologist to work that bike out!

I thought the "24 x Clickshift Gears" was a mistake but on closer inspection it looks like what I thought was an electric motor is in fact a hub gear.

There is definitely some crazy genius going on here.

Southampton - hmmmmm

second thoughts, there's no way I can sneak that one into the fold !
(WCA's garage always looks half empty in his pics though 😉 )

What...the...?

What's with the gas strut hanging from the seatclamp? Why have two rear brake calipers? Then there's the gearbox...

Oh and the crank arms have been drilled too.

Does that say drop off or knock off on the forks?

Handlebar end caps don't match...deal breaker for me!

I've just noticed the stickers on the fork sliders. Not a problem if the forks only have an inch of travel.
This bike just keeps on giving.

24 'click' gears?
An xt rear mech all cabled up with a single speed cog. Then some kind of internal cannondale esque drive train on the front which also is cabled up but looks like it'll just change the gear ratios......
Sooo many wrong things going on it makes my brain hurt.
Only thing i can say is WTF

My brain hurts looking at that!

The bottom gas strut on the brake link thingy - isnt the pivot going to hit the rear triangle if it moves forwards?

Although it's looks aren't for everybody the amount of engineering that's gone into it is intriguing. All the mods look to have been done pretty well, if they work is a different matter !

I like how there's no mention of the more unique cutom aspects as if the pictures speak for themselves.

Got to love someone who puts that much work into their bike.

Tony Ellsworth doesn't live in S'oton does he?
That thing has thrown up more questions than an episode of Mastermind.
I almost want to but it just so I can try and work out what is actually going on.

Wasn't there a purveyor of similarly bizarre specialities on eBay linked to here before? I'm sure that was a Southampton seller.

He's also selling an accordion. Clearly a gentleman by Tom Waits' standards.

Unless those cranks are the front set from a tandem, one assumes that they are a normal set installed in the opposite direction to normal. Thus the pedals will try and unscrew themselves rather than tighten in normal use.

That is however a pretty minor point of note!

Cheers, Rich
