Were any plans made last week?

If not I can do one out of Prestwich taking in Philips, Outwood, Fletcher’s Canal, Meccano Bridge, Nob End, Port Stanley Runway, Children of The Corn, Bolton Poo Works and The Clifton Cheekies.

I can also arrange for pie.

Or knocking themselves out. Which reminds me, I still haven't replace that helmet 😯

Is scaled coming? I need to know as it influences bike choice...

Working Monday so should be there as I'll not be tempted on an afternoon ride, there is also Black pudding pie as an extra incentive, but as a minus I owe Binners money, though there may be good chance of him not turning up.

Yeah, someone's clipped 'em and crashed right in front of me twice now on there and dazh tried to knock one out of the ground with his head, it's becoming quite a trend.

fenceposts of doom?

Clipped one the first time I went down on the new bike... what with it being 80mm wider than the old one. Bars spun through 120° and ended up with a little finger that turned the colour and shape of a dead alligator's willy.

I'm in Spain for a long weekend.

My MNPR attendance is shocking this year - i will try and put things right in the near future!

Be aware when going up the cobbled road on the other side of the M60 that you have lost me as the sweeper upper. tantrums have been known in that area! 😀

i've lost 3 bar end plugs on those posts, yes. stayed upright though.

craig, i'll miss you keeping me company at the back on that road but as long as we're clear which way we're going up there, i'm sure it'll be all good. wait at the main road at the top end, as per? yeah. good.

Couple of us coming over from Tod. There better not be anything resembling a fire road on this route.

Yep. CU L8R, (as the youth used to say about 10 years ago)

edit - are we doing the fence posts of doom on the way out tonight or the way back? I'm going to cut about 50mm off my handlebars, I need to know left or right.

Waddayamean?

A reference to Saturday's madness. It's tempting to bring the cx bike tonight to ensure a safe negotiation of the fence posts but my arms and shoulders are demanding the comfort of some suspension forks and big fat tyres.

I'm trying to find a route that avoids the fence posts.

Leave them in I reckon, I've learnt my lesson on that bit and shall be employing the brakes this time instead of trying to thread my way through a gap with a couple of inches of clearance at 20mph.

I quite enjoy the fenceposts too. Its a lot worse in daylight when you can see the big drop into the river on the other side of them

I'll stick with the hardtail tonight with its svelte bar width 🙂

I was totally going to come to this one tonight (my first) but I've done my ankle in coming up short by about 5 foot on a 6 foot gap jump at Revs. Next time. Enjoy the pies.

Please nobody else cry off. If I see a picture of Susan Boyle it's going to put that cover version of Wild Horses into my head.

Balls. I did it to myself.

Although it may not have looked like it, I actually enjoyed that. Two pies, a packet of crisps and a pint at the end helped though.

Enjoyed that, although it felt like a training ride not a farting about in the woods with your mates ride.

I'm bringing the cx bike next time for the poo works sprint so scaled won't have the gears to be a wheelsucking parasite.
