Just trying to decide between the hooked or hookless versions of light bicycle's 33mm 26" carbon rim. Basically the hookless version has 3mm thick sidewalls whereas the hooked version has 2mm between the hooked bit and the rim. Not sure if this extra thickness offers significant more resistance to rock hits and how this might balance against any issues with not having the bead hook.
Anyone running hookless rims and have any real world experience, especially any problems?
